What's New, What's Next

Today was one of the biggest days the beta has ever had. If you only read one field report this week, make it this one.
What shipped
The world system is finished. The beta now holds the whole wasteland the light way and makes only the ground around you fully real — our Duo Inceptive Engine, doing its job end to end. Enemies near you stay live and dangerous; far ones rest cheaply and come back when you return. Patrols and trade convoys follow real routes and timetables worked out from the time of day, so when you step into their path, they're right where they should be. A living world, without asking your phone to carry all of Montana at once.
The Long Run host is voiced again. The radio host's lines were showing as silent cards — you could read him, but never hear him. We found why and fixed it. Tune in: the host is back on the air, with the voice matching your character.
The great slowdown hunt landed real fixes. Busy scenes could crawl, and we refused to fix that by making the world thinner. Instead we took the engine apart until the numbers confessed: the game now paces itself better when a scene gets heavy, standing still stopped wasting work re-scanning the same scenery, and the old autosave stall got sliced into small background pieces so saving stops shoving the game around. The little "Autosaved / Saved" pops are back too, so you can watch your save land.
New: the Save Diagnostics button. In Settings, under System health / Diagnostics. One tap downloads a small health report from your phone that you can send to us. It only reads — it never changes your game — and it's safe to tap even mid-fight. This is a big deal for the hunt: real proof from real phones beats our guesses every time.
And the polish pile: the classic menu layout is back (every button where your thumbs remember it), on-screen controls now keep clear space around each other so nothing hides the button you need mid-chop, saves are written in sealed slices that are smaller and much harder to corrupt, and every faction in the wastes has a real home now — under a hundred years of hard weather.
Still on the workbench
Honest framing, always: the diagnostics reports coming in from real phones are guiding the next round of tuning on the very roughest scenes, and a couple more save improvements are built and being prepared to land next. Nothing for you to do but keep playing — and keep those reports coming.
What's next
The beta keeps moving daily, and the forum's Beta Notes track every single landing. Bigger things are on the drawing board for the next big version of the game — when something is real, it lands on the beta first, and it gets written up here and in the Notes before anywhere else. If you want a say in what gets built, the Suggestions board on the forum is genuinely where the list comes from. Bring us your best wasteland ideas.
Talk about this post in the forum on radtana.com — look for the thread "📰 Blog discussion — What's New, What's Next" in Current Beta Conversation. What are you most excited about — and what would you build next if the workshop were yours?
Free to play. Always.
