Launch Day Kept Rolling — The Film Is Back, the Map Reads Clean, and One Tap Walks Far

Morning, survivors. RadTana 2.0.0 went live earlier today — the living world, the satellite map, the radio host, the rebuilt saves, all of it, now the main game at play.radtana.com. Most launch days would stop there. This one kept rolling, and three more things landed after the launch post went up. Here they are, in the order you'll bump into them.
The opening film is back
When 2.0.0 moved over to the main game, the opening changed to a set of still panels — and the film that is supposed to open the game was left behind. That is fixed. Open the main game now and the New Beginning film plays at the start again, the way it was always meant to open. The film belongs on the main game. Now it is.
Pinch to zoom — and tap far away to walk there
This one is live on the beta and the main game both. You can now pinch the play view in and out: zoom in close to pick your way through a tight spot, or pull back to see a wide stretch of the wastes at once. There are little zoom steppers by the minimap, too, if you would rather tap than pinch.
The zoom-out is the real gift, because it pairs with walking. Tap a spot far away — farther than your hero could path to before — and your hero now walks the whole way there, leg by leg, finding the way around walls and through gaps on their own. It is not a blind walk, either. If danger closes in, if you get hurt, or if you step into a radiation zone, the walk stops and control is yours again. And if a place truly cannot be reached, the game tells you plainly instead of leaving your hero stuck against a wall. Near taps work exactly as they always have.
The satellite map reads clean now
First players on the new satellite map found a real flaw: zoom in and the place names grew huge, and in busy towns the names piled on top of each other until nothing could be read. That is fixed on the main game and the beta. Names now stay one calm, readable size at every zoom, crowded names make room for each other instead of stacking, and the map no longer re-loads pieces it just showed you as you look around. Open the map, zoom deep into a busy town, and read it. That is how it should have been on day one.
And the beta is now V8
One small signpost to finish. The beta — where every new thing lands first — now wears a V8 badge. That is a label, honestly, not a pile of new features: it means the beta is now the testing ground for the next version of the game, while 2.0.0 is the game everyone plays. When V8 work starts landing, it will land there first, and it will be written up here and in the forum Beta Notes.
So the launch-day list is: film back, zoom and far-walk in, map readable, beta stepped up. Try the far tap first — pick a spot clear across your view and watch your hero pick their way there. Then come tell us how it felt.
Talk about this post in the forum on radtana.com — look for the thread "📰 Blog discussion — Launch Day Kept Rolling — The Film Is Back, the Map Reads Clean, and One Tap Walks Far" in Current Beta Conversation. Where did your first far tap take you — and did the walk stop for the right reason?
Free to play. Always.
